I4F obtains new patented technology saving manufacturers up to 10% on materials during the production of rigid polymer boards

  • Technology optimizes extrusion process to increase productivity levels in fast growing market

TISE, Las Vegas, USA – I4F, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the flooring industry, today announced the availability of a patented technology enabling manufacturers to save up to ten percent on materials during the production of rigid polymer boards. The technology also enhances productivity by optimizing the extrusion process during the production of rigid polymer boards, including expanded polymer core (EPC) and solid polymer core (SPC) panels.

John Rietveldt, I4F’s CEO, comments, “Sustainable material savings are good for the industry and our planet! Furthermore, materials represent one of the largest cost factors when it comes to extruded flooring products. This proven technology is a solid addition to our strong portfolio, comprising over 2,000 patents, as it fits perfectly in our ‘Manufacturing Processes’ patent cluster. Manufacturers can now benefit from increased productivity gains during the production of rigid boards and have the opportunity to make significant savings on material costs.”
