i4F secures additional patent protection for its licensees for mineral core-based panels featuring i4F drop-lock technologies

  • i4F receives sub-licensing rights for certain Li&Co and Scholz technologies covering mineral and mineral fibre core-based panels
  • i4F licensees can sign up for access to technologies with immediate effect

HAMONT, BELGIUM – i4F®, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the flooring industry, today announced that it has secured additional protection for its licensees on a portfolio of patents owned by Scholz and Li&Co AG, covering panels with mineral based and mineral fibre cores. i4F’s new sub-licensing rights for this portfolio means the company can offer its licensees enhanced freedom to operate and access to these technologies.

With immediate effect, i4F licensees manufacturing mineral and mineral fibre core-based panels – including gypsum, magnesium oxide, cement and cement fibre based panels – featuring i4F drop-lock technologies, can sign up to get freedom to operate the technologies covered by this portfolio.

i4F believes this additional protection will enable its licensees to increase their focus on this growing market opportunity, and reinforces the company’s ambition to facilitate accessibility to new innovations all the way to end users.
