TURNHOUT, BELGIUM – i4F®, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the global flooring industry, today announced that it is introducing its brand new digitally enhanced and AI-powered showcase at the 2026 editions of Domotex in Hannover (Hall 20, B20), Germany and SURFACES (Booth #2447) in Las Vegas, USA.
i4F’s experience-based exhibition stand will present its latest technologies in a digitally driven, interactive format supported by AI-powered systems. This approach will enable visitors to explore innovations more intuitively, access relevant information efficiently, and engage with new technologies in a more meaningful way at their own pace, while dynamically adapting content to personalized preferences. The company will use this new platform to present its AI strategy under the umbrella name ai4F, alongside three new technologies. i4F’s flagship drop-lock, HerringB/ONE and water-resistant technologies, including AquaProtect and i-Click4U, will also be featured and demonstrated via the digitally driven showcase.
i4F’s two new Stair Tread Technologies address one of the flooring industry’s biggest challenges by creating stairs that seamlessly match any floor using the same material, décor, texture, and height. This enables flawless floor-to-stair integration across SPC, LVT, WPC, laminate, and wood, including top steps and landings. Two construction approaches are available to accommodate all stair types: L-shaped and U-shaped. Water-resistant and engineered for safety, performance, and speed, both are ideal for residential, commercial, and hospitality applications. Installation is quick and easy, requiring no trimming, aluminum profiles, or structural stair modifications, ensuring a continuous design flow where every stair matches perfectly.
Additionally, i4F is introducing CeraGrout Wall, extending its popular CeraGrout technology -mimicking the aesthetics of modern rectified ceramics – from floors to walls. The wall application combines i4F CeraGrout’s look and feel with an easy locking system adapted for simple installation, which is by nature glued. i4F CeraGrout’s fully waterproof, pre-attached grout technology on SPC panels make cleaning easier, more hygienic, and less prone to staining, ideal for bathrooms and kitchens.
i4F’s CEO, John Rietveldt, says, “2026 will be an exciting year! As a technology leader, we are turning strategy into action – accelerating the flooring industry’s shift into the digital space and applying AI to drive efficiencies to help our licensees bring the best solutions to market, faster. We are breaking down conventional boundaries through advanced technology platforms to enable customers to focus on what matters most, delivering high quality products and accelerated growth. We are also leading the trend toward seamless design – connecting floors, walls and now stairs into one unified visual experience.”
