TURNHOUT, BELGIUM – i4F®, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the flooring industry, today announced the granting of six new digital embossing patents from its long-standing technology partner, Hymmen, across Europe, the United States, China and South Korea. These patents further expand i4F’s digital printing technologies portfolio and significantly reinforce the protection scope of Hymmen’s DLEplus technology, exclusively available from i4F.
The newly granted patents cover advanced functionalities that significantly enhance the quality of digitally printed flooring products. The integration of technologies like DLEplus and low gloss allows for highly scratch-resistant surfaces and visually appealing designs that mimic natural materials, enhancing both aesthetics and durability. With the introduction of processes that allow for varying gloss levels and the structuring of surfaces with different textures, manufacturers gain greater flexibility in design. This versatility enables them to meet diverse consumer preferences and market demands.
The newly granted patents numbers include 12,090,511, 11,883,843 12,194,492, 3,733,307, 11,218,936, 10-2798285, 12,246,341 and 11,503,8592.
